Hello everyone,
Craig, our guest speaker for the Mental Health: Confronting Stigma workshop just sent me the link below about an upcoming conference. The conference is about Promoting Dialogue and Action Surrounding Substance Use and Harm Reduction.
Check out the link and description below.

"Each year, DLSPH students host a conference to examine a critical and timely public health issue. This year’s conference, Confront the Crisis, will bring together students, academics, public health professionals, health care providers, community members and community organizations who are interested in supporting and promoting harm reduction practices.
Confront the Crisis will build upon existing harm reduction efforts of activism, education, and research by creating a platform that not only values but centers around the efforts of the community. This conference will challenge participants to identify personal biases as well as structural factors within their own lives that may perpetuate marginalization of people who use drugs. In addition, through workshops, keynotes, and various activities, we hope to encourage intersectoral collaboration and thinking across disciplines. In doing so, participants will walk away with a greater understanding of how they can better support and engage with harm reduction practices in order to promote health equity for all people in Canada."
Sounds like a great event. Thank you so much for sharing!
